Nemex expects to benefit from pharmacy advertising ban
2012-01-12
Nemex, a NewConnect-listed online retailer of OTC anti-allergy products, expects a positive effect on its sales revenues from the new Reimbursement Act, and especially from the new restrictions on advertising by pharmacies, the company said in its monthly report for December.
According to Nemex, with drug retailers banned from performing any advertising or promotional activities in the physical world as well as on the internet, drug manufacturers will be forced to look for alternative channels and spaces to advertise their products online, which should provide a boost to the company’s top line.
In December 2011 sales at Nemex’s flagship alergia.med.pl store almost doubled compared with the same period a year earlier to reach the highest value on record. According to Nemex, on current performance the company is on course to break even in 2012.
In October Nemex announced the creation of a specialist store for people suffering from house mites allergy, www.antyroztoczowe.pl, in response to growing demand for such items among visitors to alergia.med.pl.
