BioMaxima expects 46% increase in sales for 2011

Sales revenues at
BioMaxima, the listed supplier of in vitro diagnostics equipment and reagents, exceeded PLN 10.5m (€2.4m) in 2011, an increase of 46.13% compared with 2010, according to preliminary unaudited figures. The value of equipment supply tenders won by the company during this period amounted to just over PLN 4.3m (€1m), up by 5% on 2010.
By far the strongest sales growth was noted in sales of expendables and services, which rose more than five-fold to emerge as the chief source of revenue at almost PLN 3.8m (€0.9m). Sales of tests and equipment rose by around 6% to PLN 2.5m (€0.6m) and 1.2m (€0.3m) respectively; sales of reagents inched up by 0.5% to just under PLN 2.1m (€0.5m), whereas sales of urine tests strips were down by 0.5% to PLN 0.96m (€0.22m).
