Farmacol sets up hospital supply subsidiary

A court in Katowice on 20 January 2012 authorised the establishment of Farmacol DS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the listed drug distributor. In a statement to the stock exchange, Farmacol explained that the new company will be responsible for wholesale deliveries of pharmaceutical products to healthcare entities.
Pelion, another drug distributor, made a similar move last year when it concentrated its various operations into four separate divisions, one of which (PGF Urtica) is responsible for the hospital market.
