Neuro-Code gets VC backing for innovative ADHD treatment

Neuro-Code, a Krakow-based R&D firm specialised in neuro- and bioinformatics solutions for healthcare and computer gaming, is entering the commercialisation stage with an innovative telekinetic technology with therapeutic properties, founder and CEO Rafal Aleksandrowicz told Puls Biznesu. The commercial potential of the product’s medical benefits has persuaded MicroBioLab, a seed fund, to pour €0.2m into the project, Mr. Aleksandrowicz revealed.
The application, which has the form of a computer game, stimulates the brain to create new neural connections and improves concentration. It is designed as a treatment for insomnia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children, as well as a stress reliever. Neuro-Code plans to create a special purpose vehicle, to be called Mind-UP, which will take care of its commercialisation in the area of medicine. MicroBioLab will take up a minority stake in the company.
