Farmacol to diversify into spa medicine?

Farmacol,
the listed drug distributor, has expressed a formal interest to buy
Polskie Tatry, a state-owned tourism and hotel group with assets in Tatry mountains in southern Poland, it emerged on 30 January.
The auction, announced on 9 December 2011, attracted a total of eight suitors. Apart from Farmacol they also include
Uzdrowiska Polskie, which in December 2011 bought three state-owned sanatorium medicine providers.
The Treasury is selling 71.87% of shares in Polskie Tatry . In 2010 the company earned a net profit of PLN 9.5m (€2.2m) on sales of PLN 16.7m (€3.9m).
