Mazowieckie to invest PLN 128m on Healthcare infrastructure in 2010

The government of the Mazowieckie voivodship has earmarked more than PLN 128m (€31.3m) in its 2010 budget for capital spending on healthcare infrastructure, more or less in line with previous years even despite the economic downturn, regional governor Adam Struzik announced on 25 January.
Part of the money will be spent as a local contribution to EU-supported projects.
The largest grant was awarded to the Brodnowski Hospital in Warsaw, which will receive more than PLN 16m (€3.9m), for operating block remodeling and purchase of the new equipment including angiograph, SPECT CT camera and neurosurgery navigation system. Other of total 21 beneficiaries include e.g. the Specialist Hospital in Miedzylesie near Warsaw, the J. Mazurkiewicz Voivodship Psychiatric Hospital in Pruszkow, the Rehabilitation Centre in Konstancin-Jeziorna, Mazowieckie Centre for Child and Teen Neorupsychiatry and Rehabilitation Centre in Zagorze, the Bogdanowicz Child Hospital and the Mazowieckie Lung Disease and Tuberculosis Centre in Otwock.
