HTL-Strefa, LIW care technology invest in LSSE

Two manufacturers of
medical devices on 21 January received permissions for investment projects in the Lodz Special Economic Zone (LSSE).
One is
HTL-Strefa, the maker of capillary blood microsampling devices owned by Swedish private-equity group EQT. It will invest PLN 40m (€9.9m) to build a new production line of insulin pen needles at its factory in Ozorkow (Lodzkie voivodship), resulting in the creation of 18 new jobs. The company has already invested a total of PLN 116m (€28.6m) in the LSSE, where it has two plants in Ozorkow and Leczyca that employ 950 people between them.
The other is
LIW care technology, a Polish maker of innovative rehabilitation equipment for disabled persons. It will spend at least PLN 5m (€1.2m) to build a factory in Nowy Jozefow near Lodz, in the Lodz sub-zone of the LSSE. The company pledged to create at least eight jobs at the new facility, which will manufacture newly developed products.
