Business Support Solutions (BSS), the newly-created business process outsourcing (BPO) subsidiary of Polska Grupa Farmaceutyczna (PGF), is about to receive permission to operate in the Lodz Special Economic Zone (LSSE), Marek Cieslak, LSSE director, told Puls Biznesu. The company pledged to invest minimally PLN 0.6m (€0.15m) and to create at least 255 jobs at its facility in Lodz.
BSS is to provide finance, accounting, legal and controlling services to PGF and 150 related companies in Poland and abroad, e.g. in Lithuania, the Netherlands and Great Britain. PGF obtained an EU grant of PLN 11.3m (€2.8m) to help fund the venture.
Earlier, PGF hinted that BSS would provide services to companies from the pharma and healthcare sector, as well as serving the PGF group itself.
It was seen as part of PGF’s efforts to diversify its revenue base.
