Alliance Medical launches mobile MRI services in Gliwice

The Polish unit of Alliance Medical, the largest provider of outsourced diagnostic imaging services in Europe, has begun the provision of mobile magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services for Vito-Med, a recently-commercialised municipal healthcare provider in Gliwice (Slaskie voivodship).
The three year contract took effect on 1 March. At the moment, an Alliance Medical mobile MRI scanner performs tests for Vito-Med’s patients once a week, but the frequency can be increased according to need. The parties also do not rule out the installation of a stationary device in the future.
Vito-Med, which already performs CT tests under an outsourcing agreement, is the second hospital in Gliwice (out of four) to offer MRI scans.
