Gedeon Richter reported a 1.1% y-o-y increase in consolidated
pharmaceutical sales in Poland in the first half of the year, to €36m. It was the weakest result among the company’s key markets with the exception of EU15 and the United States, which posted declines. In zloty terms, sales were down by 10% compared with the same period a year earlier. The main revenue spinners were Protevasc, Avronex, Fem Seven, Larus and Lisiprol.
In the second quarter Richter launched four new products on the Polish market. They were Mionic, a letrozole-containing licensed-in oncology drug; Lenuxin, an escitalopram-containing antidepressant; as well as two new cardiovascular products: Tessyron (clopidogrel) and Zaranta (Rosuvastatin).
