Scanmed awards PLN 3.7m equipment installation contract at new heart surgery unit

Scanmed, the biggest private healthcare group in the Malopolskie region, has signed a contract with Consultronix, a distributor of medical devices, for the delivery of equipment for a new, 25-bed interventionist cardiology ward at its St. Raphael Hospital in Krakow.
The value of the contract is PLN 3.7m (€0.9m). It contract includes an angiograph, a USG system and a set of cardiomonitors from Philips, for which Consultronix acts as the exclusive Polish distributor. The equipment is due to be installed – and the new ward to open its doors – in the autumn.
Consultronix is the Polish distributor of global equipment vendors in areas such as e.g. ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, aesthetic dermatology, or urology. In 2010 it started offering full installation services for hospitals and clinics.
