Enel-Med teams up with Allianz

Enel-Med has signed a collaboration agreement with Allianz about the provision of healthcare services to holders of the German firm’s group health insurance policies, Allianz Opieka Zdrowotna and Allianz Medica Polska. Allianz thus became the fifth insurer to enter into a formal agreement with Enel-Med, after InterRisk Vienna Insurance Group, Signal Iduna, Inter Polska and Uniqa.
Under the agreement, Allianz policy holders will be able to receive diagnosis and treatment at Enel-Med’s clinics in Krakow, Lodz, Poznan and Wroclaw, and to undergo MRI and CT scans at the company’s diagnostic facilities in Warsaw, Poznan, Mielec, Lomza and Lublin.
According to Enel-Med CEO Adam Rozwadowski, such arrangements form an important additional revenue source for the company and have a considerable growth potential in Poland, as the Polish market is set to evolve towards a model common in Western Europe, i.e. close cooperation between providers and insurers but with a tight separation of treatment and marketing.
