Sales at BioMaxima up by 8% in H1 2010

BioMaxima, the listed maker and distributor of in vitro diagnostics equipment and reagents, reported a 16.9% y-o-y increase in sales revenues in the second quarter of the year, to just over PLN 1.8m (€0.46m). The company also turned a net loss into a profit of just over PLN 0.1m (€0.03m). The year-ago result was pulled down by unfavourable currency effects.
Cumulatively in the first half of the year BioMaxima generated revenues of just over PLN 3.5m (€0.89m), up by 7.6% compared with a year earlier. Net profit almost trebled to exceed PLN 0.3m (€0.08m).
In its quarterly report, BioMaxima said that positive sales performance was observed in all product categories, including equipment, reagents, and urine test strips.
