Golub-Dobrzyn hospital to invest PLN 1.3m on new equipment

The District Hospital in Golub-Dobrzyn (Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship) will spend PLN 1.3m (€0.33m) by the end of the year on new medical equipment. The purchases are part of an onoing, four-year investment programme worth approximately PLN 3m (€0.8m) over 2009-2012, financed in large part from EU funds.
The devices to be bought and installed later this year include, among other things, two X-ray devices (one of them digital) and a visionary endoscopic tower, consisting of a gastroscope and a colonoscope.
The hospital operates as a commercial company wholly-owned by local authorities. It has 205 beds and six wards (surgery, paediatrics, gynaecology & obstetrics, internal medicine, cardiology and respiratory diseases).
