Euroimplant to list on WSE before year-end, new laboratory on track
2010-09-08
Euroimplant, the biotech start-up listed on NewConnect, will by the end of next month file for a listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange’s main market, CEO Dariusz Sladowski announced. The debut on the WSE is expected to take place before the end of the year. It will not however be accompanied by a new share issue. The exact timing will depend on market conditions.
Mr. Sladowski also reiterated that in November construction work would get underway on a new production/R&D facility in Klaudyn near Warsaw. The investment is part of a PLN 60m (€15.3m) programme envisaging the construction of two R&D/production centres, which will enable Euroimplant to develop large-scale production of its flagship human collagen-based products, as well as increase production of dermocosmetics. At the moment the company has a laboratory in Raszyn near Warsaw.
Euroimplant is about to launch pilot sales of its first product: ColldeVie eye pads protecting the skin from the effects of ageing. They will initially be distributed through a limited number of beauty parlours and aesthetic medicine clinics, and later also through pharmacies and cosmetics chains, once Euroimplant enlarges its production capacity. It is also in the middle of obtaining an ISO certificate for CollHeal, special wound dressings with healing properties.
In August Euroimplant signed a letter of intent with International Stem Cell Corporation (ISMC), a US biotech firm specialised in the development of human parthenogenetic stem cells, about collaboration in the field of product development, production and sales.
