Liczba produktów OTC w hipermarketach waha się od 80 do 200 produktów. Średnio w przeciętnym hipermarkecie w Polsce znaleźć można 1201 produktów o statusie leku, suplementu diety lub ziół. Wzrasta coraz bardziej udział suplementów diety, które w ostatnich latach były grupą produktów OTC o najwyższej dynamice wzrostu wartości sprzedaży. W sumie, rynek pozaapteczny produktów OTC był wart w 2007 r. 785 mln zł, a w 2010 r. może osiągnąć, według naszych prognoz, 1,1 mld zł.
